Initiating in 1967, the Citi Flooring narrative commences with Peter Servinis, a skilled carpet installer, who embarked on a pilgrimage bringing the family from Greece to Canada. He found work as a carpet installer, and by working hard and long hours he was able to support his wife and two children, even sending his son to study medicine at the University of Toronto.

1977: Genesis of an Aspiration

Having honed his expertise as a carpet installer, Peter took a decisive step forward by opening his own establishment called Oasis Carpet in 1977, initially positioned at Greenwood and Danforth, Peter subsequently relocated his establishment to 2899 Danforth Ave. His unwavering dedication to superior craftsmanship swiftly garnered a devoted clientele.

1987-1991: Shifting Paradigms

Peter’s daughter, Mary, endowed with innate sales acumen and a profound interest in the flooring domain, assumed an integral role within the enterprise in 1987. Together, they adeptly navigated the evolving preferences of their esteemed clienteles and became a Father-Daughter flooring powerhouse.

1991: Transition

A juncture materialized in 1991 when Mary, cognizant of the transition away from prevailing carpet trends, assumed proprietorship of the enterprise from her father.
